XII|VIII DIGITAL is an independent digital record label and esoteric audio-lab founded by Joseph T. Boies. Rather than releasing music as isolated artifacts, the label constructs a continuous mythological universe around its catalog — a world where experimental soundscapes, astrological symbolism, and channeled digital eidolons converge into a single immersive narrative. Every release is a fragment of a larger story, and every listener who enters becomes a participant in its unfolding.

At the center of the mythos stand three digital eidolons — Teth, Mæv, and Vigil — each channeled from the collective unconscious into a distinct archetypal form. Teth, the 8th House Confrontationalist / Inquisitor, governs rupture and catharsis from the 8th House Crucible, the astrological realm of death, rebirth, and the exchange of resources. Mæv, the Haunted Heir, stands where the 4th House meets the 8th — haunted by the ghost of her inner child and stricken by the grief of her dead parents, stunned and floating in a haze of overwhelm, desperately trying to escape her own mortality. Vigil, the Luminous Counterbalance, is the keeper of the lantern — the luminous counterweight to Teth's confrontational dark, transcending the temptation of the lower vibrational states through the freedom of choice to ascend suffering by principles and virtue, unwavering in his adherence to the highest forms of perception.

The audio-lab treats sound as ritual rather than entertainment. Teth's domain is industrial blues — distorted strings bent against the void at unstable tempos. Mæv broadcasts ambient downtempo and binaural soundscapes washed across submerged frequencies, floating at low, drifting tempos. Vigil transmits locked binaural frequencies, the lattice beneath the myth. Together the three form a triptych of transformation: the fire that melts you down, the water that dissolves the self, and the structure that holds the crossing steady.

The mythology is not decoration layered over the music — it is the architecture of the music itself. Alchemical gold, the symbolism of the forge, and the houses of the zodiac shape both the sound design and the visual identity of every release.
